LAB DAY 6: Eye dissection

During this practice, we had to cut the eye to see the parts inside it. The most interesting parts of the eye were the lens becaouse it was like a ball atached to the ciliary body. Then we had to anwser one question that was to respond to : What is the reflective coating and why do sheeps have it. My anwser was that the reflective coating is an area that is very shiny and it is blue. It also makes sheeps see at night.

En esta práctica queríamos confirmar la siguiente fórmula : Masa de los reactivos = Masa de los productos Para ello hicimos un experimento que consistía en: Deposita 50 ml de vinagre en un matraz Erlenmeyer. Pesa 5 g de bicarbonato de sodio dentro de un globo. Coloca el globo en la boca del matraz cuidando de que no caiga el bicarbonato dentro del matraz todavía. Pesa el matraz con el globo y anota su masa Levanta el globo para que derrame todo su contenido en el matraz. Comprueba y apunta lo que pesa ahora. En mi caso, me la masa me quedaría así: Masa inicial Masa final 167.4 162.59 Lo que ha sucedido ha sido que el dióxido de carbono se ha producido y el globo se ha expandido porque el gas necesita expandirse. LAB DAY 4: Heart and lungs dissection

In this day, we dissectioned a heart to see each  chambers, the aorta, the veins and the artery. PROCESS Firstly, we had a heart (a pig one). Secondly, we cut it through the right and the left heart, but not to the final. Thirdly, we oppened it and we could see the atriums and ventricles. When we oppened the heart we put straws inside some parts: the aorta, the pulmonary artery, the vena cava and the pulmonary vein   Blue straw: aorta Pink straw: pulmonary vein Yellow straw: vena cava Orange straw: pulmonary vein When we finished this, we had to anwser some questions (I didn´t have trachea rings): Describe the trachea rings. What they could be for? What chamber do you get to when introducing a straw through each of this vessels?: aorta, pulmonary artery, vena cava and pulmonary vein. PRÁCTICA 3: Solubilidad y cristalización

SOLUBILIDAD En esta práctica queríamos averiguar si la temperatura influiría en la solubilidad. Para esto, utilizamos una disolución de agua con sal cuyo soluto es la sal y cuyo disolvente es el agua. Hay tres tipos de disoluciones: INSATURADA: tiene menos soluto del que puede tener la disolución. SATURADA: está al máximo de soluto, si echas más se satura . SOBRESATURADA: tiene más soluto del máximo, entonces no se disuelve. Para comprobar si la temperatura influye en la solubilidad hacemos un experimento.  Procedimiento Pesa 6 g de NaCI en un vaso de precipitados. Recorta 4 trozos de papel de filtro de unos 10x10 cm. Utiliza dos de ellos para pesar en cada uno 0.20 g de NaCI. Utiliza los otros dos para pesar en cada uno 0.10g de NaCI. ¡Ten mucho cuidado de no derramar la sal en ningún momento!
